Workday

 Events

The Annual College Workday is scheduled for Tuesday 13 May.  This is our major fundraiser for the year.

All students are expected to work for a minimum of 5 hours at a rate of $10.00/hour for Seniors & $8.00/hour for Juniors.

While we acknowledge that some students work for their parents/guardians, we encourage students to seek work away from home so that Workday doubles as a work exploration experience as well as a fundraising opportunity.

The College will endeavour allocate suitable jobs for students who are unable to secure a job for the day.

If you wish to employ students, please contact the College office 858 9203.

As you can appreciate there is an element of risk involved with almost 560 students working in the community.  We have an exemplary safety record in past workdays and wish this to continue.  It is essential that students and you as parents/guardians are aware of what the job involves and any potential risks involved.

Employers must endeavour to provide a safe working environment so that risks are minimised and quality of work experience is maximised.  We will ensure that students and parents/guardians are made aware of jobs which we allocate to students. This year, employers will be given a form to complete detailing the type of work that is to be completed and Health & Safety considerations. Parents and students will also sign and return this form to school prior to Workday
