Central Hawke's Bay College Sports Academy has been running since 2015. Students from Year 9 & 10 apply from all sporting backgrounds. It is offered on sporting abilities and the desire to enhance their athletics skills and knowledge. It is offered to those who want to go that extra mile to succeed.  

The academy trains at the EIT sports institute at the Hawke's Bay Sports Park In Hastings under the guidance of specialised trainers. They cover topics of nutrition, components of fitness anatomy etc. Learn how to train for their specific sport. 

It is a leadership group and are called on to referee at the primary schools, Ongaonga 7-A-Side, Elsthorpe 5-A-Side, Rippa Rugby tournaments as well as help Sport Hawke's Bay run PALS Sessions.
