Congratulations to the following Year 8 students, Hinewai Hawkins from Ongaonga Primary School and Louis Dingle from Tikokino School, for winning the Central Hawke’s Bay College Scholarship for Music Tuition in 2023. 

Hinewai won the Vocal section singing ‘I Te Pō’ by Rob Ruha as well as singing ‘Show Yourself’ from Disney’s Frozen 2.

Louis won the Instrumental section by playing ‘Nocturne Op.9 No.2’ by Chopin and ‘Let Her Go’ by Passenger, on the guitar. 

In 2024, both Hinewai and Louis will be able to select an instrument to study, paid for by Central Hawke’s Bay College.  We will follow both music careers with interest!
