East Coast North Island Secondary School Athletics Championships

Last Wednesday, 15 March, we took 28 athletes to Hastings to compete in the ECNISS Athletics Championships.  It was a great day out and we would like to thank Mrs Kayla De Lange, Mr Stephen Franklin and Mrs Kiri Kirk for transporting them there and back.

CHB College had lots of top 10 placings with results as follows;

Junior Girls

Alex McCutcheon-Barrett - 5th 100m, 3rd 200m, 4th 300m, 3rd Triple Jump

Sophia Coddington – 3rd 3000m

Hannah Del Mar – 2nd Triple Jump

 

Junior Boys

Dallas Ross – 1st Long Jump

Jafet Monegro – 2nd Shot Put

 

Intermediate Girls

Caitlin Kirk – 4th 1500m, 1st 3000m, 1st 2000m Steeplechase

Maia Watene – 2nd Shot Put

Melia Nielsen – 2nd Javelin

 

Senior Girls

Emma Johnson – 1st 200m

Ashley McDonald – 4th Discus

Hayley Webster – 5th Shot Put

 

Senior Boys

Gray Smith – 3rd 800m

Benjamin Kynoch – 4th 200m

Cove Lambert – 3rd Triple Jump, 2nd Long Jump

Jake Edwards – 4th Javelin
