Girls in HiViz

Courtney and Jordyn in HiViz

Last week Unison held a Girls in High Viz event to encourage girls to consider career in infrastructure.  The event was held at EIT in Taradale and two of our students Jordyn Shannahan and Courtney Green went to be inspired. They participated in a range of activities and listened to inspiring speakers. Both girls got stuck in and tried everything on offer.

New Zealand's infrastructure industry has a skills gap when it comes to upgrading roading networks, replacing leaky water pipes, maintaining power lines or installing faster broadband technology, to name a few. These jobs are in high demand, can be a lot of fun, and provide varied career path .... for women just as much as men.
